URRIA

"URRIA" means October in Bask.

For this project, the main goal was to show what we can do in autumn at home in Bask Country as 20yo surfers and filmers, without the help of any sponsors but with our means, and of course, the conditions we’re given.

We both grew up here in Bask Country and we know that even with the variety of spots we have, it is definitely harder to get good surf footage here at home than in a lot of other destinations. But we had to do it anyway to prove that it is possible, if you put enough time and energy into it.

We also wanted to do this edit to show our implication and the possibilities we have here, on an area way less mediatised than the US or Oz.

« Urria » because we started filming the first sessions in October, but we’ve not been lucky enough to get all the clips we wanted in time because of the bad conditions and the fact that I was going to indo on November. So we waited until January to come back home, get back on track and get those clips before kepa was going to Australia in February.

So here we are, beginning of March after I took my free time to edit, with our first proper surf edit made together, and it feels so good!

And it's only the beginning !

Hope you'll enjoy it, onto the next one.
